The heimhub Process
Step 1
Move In
At the time you move in
If your landlord is in cooperation with heimhub, you will have the possibility to enter your new leasehold with an insight that hasn't been possible until now. The last thing you probably think of when you move in, is what will happen the day you move out. Nevertheless, one of the major concerns from all tenants are: How much needs to be renovated when I move out, and how much will it cost me? If your landlord is in cooperation with heimhub, you will know the answer to that question, even before you move in, provided that you will take normal good care of your apartment. That will provide peace of mind and no surprises.
Furthermore, heimhub provides an easy way to store your objections from the move in report and ensures they are provided the day you begin your move out process. If you are in doubt whether your new apartment is covered by heimhub's cooperation with your landlord, feel free to contact us.

Step 2
Move On
At the time you decide to terminate your tenancy
Already from the time of termination of the tenancy, heimhub starts the work. As soon as heimhub knows you are vacating your rental property, you will be contacted for a visit by your heimhub guide, if your landlord are in cooperation with heimhub. If not, or you are in doubt, please feel free to contact us.
The offer is reviewed with you immediately at the meeting. It shows the exact cost of a guaranteed refurbishment, including specific tasks you can perform yourself to save money. The offer also includes a "Move On" discount, a quick payout of your remaining deposit upon move-out, and a guarantee that the refurbishment meets your obligations as a tenant. These benefits apply only if you accept the offer. The "Move On" offer and benefits are contingent upon your landlord partnering with heimhub. A "Move On" meeting is free and carries no obligation.

Step 3
heimhub Planning
Approx. 80 days before and until move out
Because heimhub can plan the work and ensure a far more efficient work process, there is also money to be saved on costs, which enables a discount and creates a smaller carbon-footprint, on the process. The digital, data-driven process and a highly efficient, specialized refurbishment process, create fewer costs, less driving and optimal product consumption – to the benefit of both you as a tenant and the environment.
If you want other craftsmen to carry out the refurbishment, you are of course welcome to do so. However, heimhub can no longer offer benefits such as immediate payout, cost saving measures, discounts or taking over your obligations when you move out. In that case, this will revert to the old process. Depending on whether your landlord are in cooperation with heimhub or not, the date the apartment needs to be handed over differs. If in doubt, please feel free to contact us.

Step 4
Move Out
The day you turn over your keys (14 days before final day)
Approx. 14 days before the end of the tenancy (requires your landlord is in cooperation with heimhub – if, not Move Out date is set on Move On meeting), the condition and offer are confirmed, and the apartment, which is now empty of furniture, is handed over to heimhub. At this meeting, your heimhub guide will visit to review the lease and confirm that the maintenance status is the same as at the initial meeting and any cost-saving measures have been carried out as agreed. When this is done, the agreement documents are finally signed and the remaining deposit is transferred to you, if you have chosen so and your landlord is in cooperation with heimhub. At the meeting, heimhub simultaneously takes over your obligations in relation to refurbishment and you can calmly wave goodbye to your old tenancy and focus on your new one.
Once this is done, your remaining deposit is paid out to you immediately. Your remaining deposit consists of your available deposit minus refurbishment costs. The keys, the apartment, and your obligations are then handed over to heimhub, allowing you to focus on your new rental with peace of mind — and money in your pocket.

Step 5
heimhub Production
The last 14 days until final day
Once all data from Move Out meeting are confirmed, production kicks in. Everything is planned, to the smallest detail enabling a very efficient refurbishment of your now, moved out apartment. Although it’s no longer of your concern, you can make sure that all standards are being met and the apartment will be exactly to the standards set by your landlord. The production team, our heimhub specialists, are trained and verified to perform apartment refurbishment in the most efficient way. That, in combination with fact that everything is digital data driven by our very own heimhub it-system, provides us with the possibility to plan, process and deliver, providing results and data, like no other.
The result? Cost savings and trouble-free handover for you as a tenant, easy highly efficient production flow for the production teams, value increase to and lesser workload for landlords. In other words: Win-Win-Win.

FAQ
The questions we are asked most about Move On, Quick Pay and the move-out inspection.
What is Move On?
Move On is a preparatory meeting you can have before the actual move-out inspection. We go through the home with you, so you know in advance what is expected, what you can still fix yourself, and what a refurbishment would cost. The aim is that there are no surprises at the real inspection.
What is the Move On offer?
It is one combined offer for your refurbishment, made up of two parts that go together: a 12% discount on your refurbishment and fast deposit payout (Quick Pay).
The two parts are one package – you cannot pick just one. You either accept both, or you decline the offer. The package is put together so that, for most tenants, the discount is larger than the fee the fast payout costs.
Am I obliged to accept the Move On offer?
No. An offer is an offer – not a bill. You are free to say yes or no. If you say no, your move-out is handled in the ordinary way under the Rent Act. The offer is accepted as a whole (both discount and fast payout go together), or it is declined.
Do I have to attend the move-out inspection?
Yes. The move-out inspection is required by law, and as a tenant you are obliged to attend on the date and time you are called to.
If you cannot attend yourself, you must send a power of attorney authorising heimhub or another person to take part in the inspection on your behalf. That way the home is inspected on time and your interests are represented.
Attend – or send a power of attorney. Then you are assured the inspection is done correctly and that someone is there to see what is recorded.
What is Quick Pay?
Quick Pay is an option to get your deposit paid out quickly – instead of waiting for the ordinary, slower move-out settlement. It is a voluntary service you can choose via the Move On offer.
What is the Quick Pay fee, and how big is it?
It is a handling fee of 2.5% of the deposit for getting the deposit paid out quickly instead of waiting for the ordinary settlement. Because it is a percentage of the amount – and not a transfer cost – it does not depend on which bank or account is used.
Example: 2.5% of a deposit of DKK 13,576 is about DKK 339.
